Tot Drop

What is Tot Drop?

Would you like to volunteer at school but can’t because you don’t have childcare for your younger child(ren)? Tot Drop is a parent co-op where we help one another with childcare in order to allow us all to volunteer for our older children.

The Tot Drop room is located at Willow Springs School in the LGA. It is a large room with lots of toys, climbing equipment, riding toys, etc. You do not have to have a child attending Willow Springs in order to participate, all of the district schools are included. As a member of Tot Drop, you can request childcare through our closed Facebook group and another group parent will volunteer to watch your child(ren) while you are volunteering an-ywhere within the district, including field trips.

There is a cost associated with the program in order to cover the insurance. That cost is determined each year by the number of parents who participate. In the past, the cost has been $30-$40 per family for unlimited child-care for the entire school year. In addition to the cost, each participant is expected to monitor the Facebook page and volunteer in the Tot Drop room (you can bring your child with you) when available. Typically, this would be 1-2 hours a few times per month.
